A senior partner and co-founder of Levy Phillips & Konigsberg, LLP, Alan J. Konigsberg specializes in complex litigation and heads the firms Qui Tam, Infant Lead Poisoning and Aviation sections. He is one of the most highly regarded and sought after attorneys in the country. His passion for hard work, commitment to his clients, boundless energy and determination, have been a guiding force behind the firm’s success for over 25 years.

Mr. Konigsberg has taken on some of the nation’s largest corporations and municipalities, winning many cases that have become milestones in litigation history. He is widely recognized as an expert in the preparation and litigation of Qui Tam cases. He is also a staunch advocate for protecting the rights of “whistleblowers” who report incidents of fraud against the government. Key to that protection is their right to live and work without fear, or the threat of retaliation by the accused. Known for his tough, no-nonsense approach to domestic and international litigation, Mr. Konigsberg has faced many litigation challenges and achieved historic results on behalf of his clients. These cases have included birth defect/product liability litigation against a major pharmaceutical manufacturer; a catastrophic fall of an American at a Paris hotel; a defective lighting hoist; defective construction equipment; improper construction procedures; negligent building security practices and the crash of a Boeing 747 aircraft in Osaka, Japan. He has also handled cases on behalf of victims injured by toxic substances, defective products, dangerous work conditions, school violence, dangerous and under-insured taxi cabs, poorly maintained construction sites and inadequately secured commercial property. His diverse client list has included infants exposed to lead paint, window workers, painters, taxi drivers, high school students, senior citizens, heavy equipment operators and even jazz and rock ‘n’ roll musicians.
A graduate of St. John's University School of Law, Mr. Konigsberg is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals and U.S. District Courts. He is a distinguished member of the New York State Bar Association, Trial Lawyers and Negligence sections; the New York City Bar Association and Past Chairman of its Aviation Law Section; the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, 2007 Board of Directors and the American Association for Justice. He is a recognized national speaker on personal injury and aviation law, a committee member of the World Jurist Association and has been named a New York “Super Lawyer” specializing in personal injury litigation by Super Lawyers magazine.
