Alan J. Konigsberg
Mr. Konigsberg’s passion for
his work, commitment to his clients, and never
ending reserve of energy and determination
have helped LPK take on some of the nation’s
largest corporations and municipalities, winning
a plethora of cases that have become milestones
in litigation history. As one of the founders
and a senior partner of the firm, Mr. Konigsberg
has spent over 30 years as a much sought after
attorney in many high profile cases.
For example, when the calls came for a tough,
no-nonsense approach to domestic and international
litigation: birth defect/product liability
litigation against a major pharmaceutical
manufacturer, a catastrophic fall of an American
at a Paris hotel, a defective lighting hoist,
defective construction equipment and improper
construction procedures, negligent building
security practices resulting in an executive
being shot and rendered permanently brain
damaged and the crash of a Boeing 747 aircraft
in Osaka, Japan, Mr. Konigsberg met the litigation
challenges and achieved spectacular results
for the firm’s clients.
He has also handled cases on behalf of people
injured by toxic substances, defective products,
dangerous work conditions, school violence,
dangerous and under-insured taxi cabs, poorly
maintained construction sites and inadequately
secured commercial property. He has also been
an advocate for protecting the rights of individuals
who blow the whistle on employers committing
fraud against the Government, as well as protecting
the whistleblowers rights to live and work
without the threat of consequences.
He has taken on some of the largest cases
in the country on behalf of a client list,
which includes infants in housing contaminated
by lead paint. He has represented window workers,
painters, taxi drivers, high school students,
jazz musicians, senior citizens, heavy equipment
operators and rock ‘n’ roll performers.
Mr. Konigsberg is a 1967 graduate of St. John’s
University School of Law and is admitted to
the U.S. Supreme Court, several United States
Courts of Appeals and many United States District
Courts.
He is a past chairman of the Aviation Law
Section of the New York State Bar Association
and he served as an international speaker
and committee member of the World Jurist Association.
He is also a member of the American and the
New York State Bar Associations, the Bar Association
of the City of New York, the New York State
Trial Lawyers Association and the Association
of Trial Lawyers of America.
